ACADEMIC PROJECT: SPRING 2025

The Neue Gallery Located adjacent to the historic William Starr Miller mansion, the Neue Gallery situates itself along Fifth Avenue’s “Museum Mile,” facing Central Park, a site that offers both urban intensity and natural relief. Originally a mansion built by Annabell Seldorf, the Neue Galerie incorporates aspects of neoclassical architecture inspired by the Paris Place des Voges. This design aims to be much like in the Austrian Secession movement to interact with the traditional and yet surpass it.
